Founder’s of Pop Up Smiles
Parham Akhavan, DDS
Dr. Akhavan graduated from University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He dedicated his time to biomedical research prior to attending dental school. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University. Dr. Akhavan has extensive experience in all fields of dentistry. He has completed multiple post Doctoral courses in areas including Cosmetic Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery. Dr. Akhavan, as described by his patients, is very compassionate and caring.
Dr. Akhavan loves what he does and treats his patients with excellent care. His engineering background has allowed him to be very artistic and detail oriented. He has been married to his wonderful wife for over ten years and they have 2 beautiful boys. When he is not brightening his patients’ smiles, he is traveling with his family, sampling new cuisine, playing golf or tennis.
Dean Rollolazo, RDH
Dean has been practicing preventative dentistry for the past 12 years. Born and raised in Seattle, he received his Bachelors of Science degree in General Sciences with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry at Seattle University. A few years later, he moved to southern California to pursue his training and Dental Hygiene degree at San Joaquin Valley College. In 2011, he received his post dental hygiene RDHAP (Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice) certification at the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Dean, his lovely wife Lyssa, and 3 “buddy boys” Braxton, Ryland and Camden have been residents of Ladera Ranch since 2011. He enjoys fitness, Seahawks football, and quality time with family & friends. Dean enjoys establishing long term relationships with his patients, and you can expect the highest quality of preventative care from him through his experience, gentle touch, knowledge and care.
